At this year’s event, we wanted to give an opportunity for high school students to get involved with our charity. We have partnered with Wilson Area High School SADD Chapter for this fundraiser. The "Steps to Recovery" Comedy Social will be held at Wilson Area High School . RRI will be hosting a Tricky Tray from 6:30-8:OO pm.
Also, as part of the evenings festivities, we have partnered with local chefs to provide "Classic Cuisine and Culinary Treats" Food Sampling Extravaganza. The Main Event, Comedian/Singer/Pianist, Sarge, will begin his 90 minute performance at 8:15pm. The winners of the Tricky Tray will be announced directly after the performance. This event is going to bigger and better than last year. Don’t miss your opportunity to be a supporter.
Your entertainment for the evening, Sarge (on right).
WHY IS THIS EVENT SO IMPORTANT?
Recovery Revolution’s Capital Campaign formally begins with this event - "Steps to Recovery 2010". The demands of the road ahead are three fold:
1) In order to meet increasing demands for RRI services, we must generate sufficient income to purchase a new services building. Turning away those in need due to lack of facilities is not an option.
2) RRI wishes to continue to reach out and help more individuals, as well as offer more community & family programs.
3) There are a growing number of at risk youth (ages 8-11) that need RRI’s support.
In order to do this, RRI is asking you for your help. Please consider helping us keep these vital programs available to those who are willing to work and make their lives productive again.

Sarge - Our Featured Entertainment for the Evening
Sarge (right) and Don Rickles (left)
Sarge is one of the highest energy, multi-talented acts in show business today. Not only a hilarious stand-up comedian, Sarge can impressively sing in his own voice, as well as a dozen others including: Harry Connick Jr., Sammy Davis Jr., Lionel Richie and Stevie Wonder to name a few. Add to these his riotously funny impressions of Marv Albert, Mike Tyson, Kermit the Frog and Gilbert Gottfried and audiences are left howling for more.
Sarge is also an impressive talent on the piano, and has been since childhood. For his 6th birthday, Sarge's parents took him to see "The Sound of Music" and when they came home from the show, Sarge sat down at the family piano and began to play songs from the show entirely "by ear" (without sheet music, without ever having touched the piano before). It was then the world got their first glimpse of Sarge. He has appeared on national television on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Sarge is well known for his "standing room only" performances on Princess Cruise lines. Sarge has even entertained our troops in Iraq. He is looking forward to returning to Iraq soon to do more of the most fulfilling entertaining he's ever done.
