Counselor Qualifications: Full Certification as Addictions Counselor and/or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Masters Level Degree in related fields a plus. A minimum of 2 years Direct Care experience in a human services agency, preferably a Drug and Alcohol Treatment facility. Direct Care means that you have provided therapy to clients and held a caseload.
For Clinical Staff Only: Please note, we are licensed by the Department of Health who dictates the minimum requirements for hire. Therefore, there are the minimum requirements in order to be considered for a clinical position.
Counselor Responsibilities: To act as a clinical staff for outpatient treatment activities, which will include individual, family, and group counseling. Case management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting biopsychosocial assessments, individual treatment planning and aftercare planning. The candidate must have a strong knowledge base of addiction, 12-step recovery/other recovery modalities and requires the ability to act in an independent, responsible and self-sufficient manner
